The ROGER DE SPOELBERCH Foundation<\/b><\/span> is a Geneva-based foundation whose mission is to fund and foster research and assistance in the fields of neurodegenerative diseases and psychiatric illnesses.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Scientific Research<\/h2><\/div>

The Foundation aims to foster medical and scientific research in order to accelerate the discovery of new ways to fight against the aforementioned diseases. To this end, it awards an annual prize, the \u201cROGER DE SPOELBERCH\u201d prize<\/a>, to a research project carried out in particular within European university hospitals. <\/p>\n

It entrusted a Scientific Committee<\/a> composed of distinguished European doctors and professors specialized in neurosurgery, medical imaging, psychiatry and other fields with selecting researchers who made a significant contribution to medical and scientific research. Each year, it awards substantial financial support to one of these researchers, enabling them to continue their work particularly useful in the fight against neurodegenerative diseases.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Projects<\/h2><\/div>

The Foundation identifies public or private hospitals or clinics, or associations, providing care for people suffering from neurodegenerative diseases or psychiatric illnesses, and those to which it could provide one-off financial support, by financing new infrastructures or supporting new projects, so that these institutions can provide better patient support and care, and thus improve their quality of life and that of their family caregivers aiming to provide them with an alternative source of funding.<\/p>\n
